THE SEASON'S ORACLE

The Moon is the Mirror of the Goddess

Swan & Unicorn Full Moon

The feminine spiritual message is perpetually revealed by the turning of the seasons, and, above all, we see our own experience of transitions and changes mimed by the moon's monthly orbit. Like the faces of the moon, women's own cycles, moods, and roles pantomime the ever-changing Essence of female sexual and spiritual power   The Mother-god's most important lesson is that Divinity exists in everything and all life is sacred and erotic. Her lessons are shown in circles, cycles, spirals, webs, and wheels. These symbols of turning, holding, connecting, enfolding, embracing, and returning are all metaphors for Life in the Feminine Way.

THIS IS THE SEASON OF
SUMMER SOLSTICE
and
THE LOVER ARCHETYPE

The season begins on JUNE 21, and ends AUGUST 2. It is symbolized by the FIFTH moon-phase, the FULL moon.

~ FULL MOON ~ SUMMER SOLSTICE ~
At the full of moon, the sun and moon hover directly across from each other, balanced on opposite sides of the earth. As Earth floats between them, bathed in their magnetic glow, she responds with all her senses. All creatures are seduced by the charismatic face of the Full Moon, for to be “moonstruck” means you are goddess-blessed with love’s magic. This is the Lover’s moon, awakening all creatures and people to relate to that which lies outside of themselves. It marks a phase in which we reach forth to connect, to touch, and to embrace the Other.

SUMMER SOLSTICE: (June 21) Midsummer. The longest day. Earth blossoms, her creatures court, and Life sings a song of attraction, desire and beauty. The height of solar power has been honored with shrines, temples, and standing stone circles since prehistoric times: all built to register the moment when sunlight penetrates the womb of Earth, conceiving renewed life.
